Teach Our Children

Something is missing here.  We teach our children to be responsible for their things.  Parents and our education system make sure our kids know the value of our possessions and how to care for them.

But we have overlooked telling them about the richest resource in which they share ownership - our beautiful western public lands.  How can we expect them to care for their birthright if they don’t know it exists?

Parents and educators can make sure the next generation of young citizens is fully aware of what they own, so that as they mature into adults they will be ready to take responsibility for stewardship of these precious lands.  The alternative is that the future of the public lands may be controlled by special interest groups capable of diminishing our natural treasures.
